Flowerhorn cichlid is a man made hybrid fish that can only be found in the wild because man released them into the environment. They are known for their intense colors, patterns, and kok (hump on their head).
A Flowerhorn can live an average of 10-12 years, and like water temperature ranging form 80-85 degrees. They are best housed in a tank at least 55 gallons or larger.
Although some people have tank mates with their flowerhorns such as Oscars, Jaguar, Black Pacu, and Plecostomus most experts say it is best to have them alone in the tank.
Flowerhorn cichlids are fish with very big appetites and should be fed two to three times a day. They will eat a variety of foods such as bloodworms, cichlid pellets, flakes, and crickets.
